Basic task for Google Slides

Using Google Slides is a great way to create and deliver presentations. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use Google Slides:

Access Google Slides

Go to the Google Slides website (slides.google.com) and sign in with your Google Account credentials. If you don't have a Google Account, you'll need to create one.

Create a New Presentation

To create a new presentation, click on the "+ New" button in the top left corner of the page. A dropdown menu will appear, and you can select "Google Slides" from the options.

Choose a Template

Google Slides offers a variety of templates to choose from. You can either select a template from the available options or start with a blank presentation. Templates provide pre-designed slides with different layouts and themes, making it easier to create professional-looking presentations.

Add and Edit Slides

By default, Google Slides starts with a blank slide. You can add new slides by clicking on the "+" button in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. You can choose from different slide layouts, including title slides, content slides, and more.

Customize Slides

Google Slides provides a range of customization options for your slides. You can change the background color or image, add text boxes, insert images or videos, create charts and tables, and apply various formatting options. The toolbar at the top of the page contains all the necessary tools for editing and formatting your slides.

Organize Slides

To add text to a slide, click on the "Text box" button in the toolbar or select "Insert" > "Text box." You can also add images, videos, shapes, and other media by selecting the respective options from the "Insert" menu.

Apply Themes and Styles

Google Slides provides built-in themes and styles to give your presentation a consistent and professional look. You can change the theme of your entire presentation or apply different styles to individual slides by selecting "Slide" > "Change theme" or using the "Format" menu.

Collaboration

You can invite others to collaborate on your presentation by clicking the "Share" button in the top right corner. You can grant them different levels of access, such as viewing, commenting, or editing rights. Multiple people can work on the same presentation simultaneously, and changes are saved in real-time.

Presenting

present your slideshow, click on the "Present" button in the top right corner of the screen. This will launch the presentation in full-screen mode. You can navigate through the slides using the arrow keys or the navigation toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Google Slides also offers various presentation options, such as presenter notes, slide timings, and the ability to present directly from your mobile device.

Sharing and Exporting

Once you've completed your presentation, you can share it with others by clicking on the "Share" button and entering the email addresses of the recipients. You can also export your presentation as a PowerPoint file, PDF, or other formats by selecting "File" > "Download" > "Microsoft PowerPoint" or "PDF document."
